The Broken Script is an intriguing mod that blends horror elements with ARG components and an actual story. Unlike most horror mods, which merely introduce hostile mobs, The Broken Script offers a fully developed narrative—and, more importantly, direct interaction with story characters.
Despite the limited accessible lore, the broader picture can already be pieced together.
The story begins with the formation of two factions: Blackout's Clan and xXram2dieXx's Clan. Blackout's Clan arose from an alliance between Blackout, OVERLORD, and catfish12. Meanwhile, across the server, xXram2dieXx, DyeXD412, and WHYER4 formed xXram2dieXx's Clan.
In early 2018, after a brief absence, 0nullvoid0 returned to find a strange altar-like structure built from Protected Void blocks in the enchantment room. Initially assumed to be a prank by a server admin, the structure emitted unsettling sounds, caused lag, and appeared to make nearby mobs despawn. Despite these abnormalities, 0nullvoid0 continued advocating for clan expansion, introducing the concept of a shared base.
By mid-2018, things began to unravel. Blackout ventured into a mine and was ultimately killed by an entity known as Crcuit. His disappearance went unaddressed until another clan member questioned it, and the ensuing silence deepened the mystery. Over time, disorder grew.
On October 1, 2018, an unidentified player rented a room in Clan_build but quickly left to start their base. Around this time, 0nullvoid0 changed his username to xXram2dieXx.
November 2018 marked a turning point. On November 1, a server-wide chat failure occurred—caused by an entity called The Broken End. The clan's Discord server was also deleted, severing a key channel of communication. Isolated and unable to document events, members soon discovered their base had been stolen. On the following day, xXram2dieXx left to collect oak wood and was killed by The Broken End. Represented in Record 15, his death marked still another turning point for the clan, though it was thought that he had grown bored with playing.
A year later, in August 2019, a member of Blackout's Clan discovered a familiar Protected Void block at their base, prompting renewed interest. In September 2019, someone claiming to be xXram2dieXx returned—but it was actually Circuit, impersonating him and explaining his absence with a vague story about family issues. The deception went unnoticed.
During this period, another member—DyeXD412—developed symptoms of corruption after repeatedly listening to Disc 13. His behaviour became erratic, and he began ignoring WHYER4 entirely. Eventually, he became Curved.
At some unknown point, the Nether Portal Room became corrupted, filled with strange blocks and ominous signs alluding to betrayal and impending catastrophe. At an unknown time, Circuit entered the real world through Revuxor's computer, invaded his home, and violently killed him.
Revuxor remains one of the most enigmatic figures in the story. He saves the player from certain death by blocking them on the server and is presumed to guide them out of Null Torture. Despite his real-world death, it's believed that Revuxor's soul survives in the digital world. He does not appear in a standard walkthrough of the mod.
Eventually, the once-lost server was inexplicably recovered. Though twisted and fragmented, traces of the original terrain remain. The player appears to discover this restored server and begins playing on it. Although it's technically a single-player world, the mod simulates a live server: players see join messages, and entities like Null can appear and interact.
It remains unclear who the player truly is in relation to the original server and all past players. Are they a random user who stumbled across a cursed world, or someone who is intentionally investigating the disappearances?
Within the Broken Script, a few usernames can be found across structures, some that have leaked into the worlds currently accessed by players, and some within the recovered chunks of WORLD2. There seemed to be two notable “Clans” that played on the server; see the list below.
xXram2dieXx, also formerly known as 0nullvoid0, was the leader of xXram2dieXx's Clan.
His soul likely splintered across several Entities within the Broken Script.
He seemed to be a spirited and playful person before the events that occurred.
During the events leading up to the downfall of the clan, DyeXD412 was found listening to Disc 13 over and over on the clan_build's 4th floor. He would not respond to Whyer4, and would keep repeating the disc over and over.
WHYER4 is a member of xXram2dieXx's Clan. Through the process of elimination, it can be easily speculated that he was the last member of the clan to be eradicated or influenced by the void.
Whyer4, Where have you been?

He would lead the Blackout clan on the server, he was likely killed by Circuit, which was depicted by Disc 14, before becoming Hetzer. It is unknown why he is the way he is.
Just like Revuxor, catfish12 was killed in the real world, but instead of running, catfish12 died to Integrity after the moonglitch event happened, in his own room, he was ambushed... Once a member of the Blackout clan, the events leading up to their death were put on disc12.newlife.ogg. Curiosity killed the cat....
Dated Signs and other such things provide valuable information about the position of events on the timeline.
However, not all events have a known date associated with them, and so some of them, marked with an unknown date – xx.xx.xxxx – are placed on the timeline speculatively, where it makes sense.

02.02.2018 — Weird structure
0nullvoid0 started a diary in which he wrote that after returning from a two-day break, he noticed that a strange, previously unseen structure had appeared in the enchantment room. He did not know who put it there, and he only assumed that it was an admin trolling them.
The structure resembles an altar and, notably, contains Protected Void blocks that are believed to be from Day B.
03.02.2018 — Weird sound
0nullvoid0 wrote in his diary that the structure made a weird sound and that his game started to lag a bit. He also jokingly noted that every mob that gets too close to the structure despawns, attributing it to plugins.
04.02.2018 – The clan must grow
0nullvoid0 wrote that it was time to build a base for all of them because the clan must grow.
It is believed that the base he wrote about eventually came to be clan_build.

It is these events that are depicted on Record 14.

01.11.2018 — The beginning of the end
The Broken End has appeared in the world, causing the chat to break due to a minecraft.chatengine failure.
xXram2dieXx's Clan members noticed the broken chat and wrote about it, starting to use signs as their main means of communication. They also noted that for unknown reasons, the discord server got deleted too.
That same day, they noticed that a group of people stole their old base, and complained that they couldn't report them due to the deleted discord server.

xXram2dieXx's Clan ran out of oak wood, and WHYER4 wrote a sign, asking to get more.

04.08.2019 — Weird block
One of Blackout's Clan members found a Protected Void block in some cave and moved it to their cave base using pistons. No one knew what block it was.
06.09.2019 — Deceiver returns
Circuit, impersonating long-missing xXram2dieXx, returned to the clan under his name, claiming to have had some “troubles” with his family.
xx.xx.xxxx — DyeXD412's corruption
DyeXD412 started listening to Disc 13 on loop, standing still and ignoring WHYER4 to the point where it looked like he was standing AFK with an autoclicker.
It was this disc's influence that led to the gradual corruption of DyeXD412 and his subsequent becoming Curved.
xx.xx.xxxx — catfish12's death
At an unknown point in time, Moon Glitch happened in game, shortly after which Integrity in real life opened the door to catfish12's room and killed him.
His death, and the events immediately preceding it, are recorded on disc12.newlife.ogg. It is known that 1 also has something to do with it.
Integrity in irl world inside of Catfish12's house

xx.xx.xxxx — Revuxor's death
At an unknown point, Circuit entered the real world through Revuxor's computer, invading his home and soon after ripping him apart.
It is unknown how Revuxor ended up trapped on the server world in Minecraft after being killed in the real world.

xx.xx.xxxx — Server World recovered
Somehow, the Server World that the previous players were playing on, which was thought to be lost, was restored.
However, it appears to be heavily corrupted and is therefore generated as a new world, with only fragmented remnants of the original world being randomly restored.
